Bartolome and Santiago Islands

Our trip this week is coming to an end. For me, this statement is not really accurate. In one way, I think that an expedition with Lindblad in the Galapagos never ends. New feelings and perennial memories will be living forever in our visitors’ hearts. When trying to explain why this strong link is created, many reasons come to my mind. I have been lucky to keep in touch with some of our previous visitors. In some cases I have even had the chance to see them again while visiting the United States. Just for curiosity I have asked why they fell in love with Ecuador and the islands. A quite common answer is the approachability of the exotic animal species that live in the archipelago. A second common answer is the relief they felt while experiencing one of the ultimate natural paradises on Earth. They have explained to me that the beauty of the islands was intrinsic but the whole experience was enhanced in a great way by a very interesting fact. Visitors always mention the friendliness and warmth they received from each one of the staff, crew and officers onboard the Polaris and in the rest of the country.

As an Ecuadorian I cannot help but feel genuine joy realizing that we do our best to be the finest ambassadors our guests deserve. By the way, my warmest regards to all of you that follow our website on a regular basis. If you have been here in the Galapagos you know what I am writing about. If you are thinking about coming with us in the near future, our minds and hearts are wide open to welcome you. Today, I will finish with a great saying one of our friends always uses: “You are leaving Galapagos but Galapagos will never leave you…"
